Founder & Executive ProducerBob Denham is a filmmaker with a First Class Degree in Economics and Econometrics and a background in journalism, banking and education. Bob founded Econ Films in 2014 on the model of providing a way for researchers to communicate in the growing area of online video. Since then, he has produced hundreds of films and videos across many disciplines and across four continents to international media coverage and praise. Bob has personally interviewed more than 20 Nobel Laureates in Economics. Andrew Cryan has worked in television for 15 years, primarily as an on-screen reporter on flagship BBC programmes such as Sunday Politics, Daily Politics, BBC London News and BBC Breakfast. Off-screen, he has helped produce many hours of documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4, including as the Director of “Boris:The London Years”, BBC1 (2016). He has personally interviewed many of the biggest names in politics (Jeremy Corbyn, Ed Miliband, Nick Clegg, Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage, Sadiq Khan) and his work as an investigative journalist has been written about in every national newspaper in the UK.

Lucie de Freitas has worked in media production and administration for over a decade. As a Production Manager and Producer, Lucie has coordinated many music videos, commercials, short films, documentaries and, of course, films about economics.

Raphael Fischer studied Economics at Bristol University right before joining Econ Films in 2015. From drafting storyboards to running interviews and editing together the first drafts, he’s there to turn your research into a clear, succinct story. He’s held hundreds of interviews with economists and other scientists of all stripes, from junior researchers to top policymakers and first-timers to media personalities.
Eugenia Oswaldt has experience in the media sector across the globe. Most recently she has worked for French TV channel CANAL+ and US music festival SouthbySouthwest, where she collaborated on an extensive list of high-end media productions. Eugenia holds an MSc in Global Media from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Politics and Economics from Sciences Po Paris, bringing analytical rigour to her professional assignments.
Simon Vaughan is an Editor, Animator and Videographer who has worked in a wide range of video production, from feature films to advertising. Simon worked with Saatchi & Saatchi for seven years, creating content for some of the worlds largest brands including Proctor & Gamble, GSK and HSBC. Simon has managed the post-production of over a hundred films about economic research and interviews with dozens of Nobel Laureates.
