Bob is a filmmaker with a first-class degree in economics and econometrics and a background in journalism, banking and education. He founded Econ Films in 2012 to provide a way for researchers to communicate their work more effectively in the growing area of online video.

He has gone on to produce hundreds of films and videos across a range of disciplines with some of the world’s leading institutions across global policy, education and academia, including the UN, the World Bank, Yale University and the BBC.

Bob’s passion for economics and education has also led him to co-found Communicating Economics – a joint project with the IFS and the University of Manchester, providing free access to tools, tips and training for economists.
