Understanding Inequalities Project

‘Inequalities at the Start’

BRIEF

To produce a series of films to showcase the findings of the Understanding Inequalities research project led by the University of Edinburgh and the University of Sheffield.

The project looked at issues such as ‘inequalities at the start of life’, ‘policy supply and demand’, and ‘decentralising poverty’.

APPROACH

We worked closely with the academics on the project to create scripts that focussed on why these issues matter, the findings of their work and the solutions they are outlining. The Animated Matte Transition style we used was designed to simply visualise some of the main ideas and findings in a graphical and memorable way, whilst contextualising the films with familiar images associated with the subject matter.
