The Importance of Peas

BRIEF 

To create a series of seven social media-friendly explainers to share the latest research on food sustainability and security for an audience of policy-makers and academics.

The series included films based on ‘The Importance of Peas’, ‘Vitamin A Deficiency’ and ‘Bringing Back Buckwheat’.

APPROACH 

We used a range of archive and motion graphics to contextualise the subjects and clearly highlight the situation and the solution. A key part of the success of the films was communicating ‘Why it matters’ and the impact this work could have on huge issues including nutrition and global sustainable food production.

The tone is also positive and solutions-based, which is reflected in the contributors’ performances, the music and the visual style of the films.
